ABOUT THE FILM

The Printer imagines a near future in which technology determines where people belong, what opportunities they receive and how closely they may connect with one another.

Against this controlled and increasingly divided world, an unlikely relationship begins to form. The film uses speculative fiction and intimate human drama to explore technological inequality, social isolation and the enduring need for connection.

Independently completed through a successful crowdfunding campaign, the film was subsequently licensed to the Oscar-qualifying short-film platform True Shorts.
